Nithin Govindarajan

Nithin received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in 2009 and 2012, respectively. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  In spring 2014,  he joined Mezić’s research group and his current work involves developing numerical methods to approximate spectral properties of the Koopman operator.  For this project he is being co-advised by Prof. S. Chandrasekaran from the ECE department. In the past, he has also worked on applications of Koopman operator theory to hybrid systems. His general research interests lie at the intersection of dynamical systems and control, operator theory, and computation.
