Poorva received her B. Tech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay and M. S. in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech. She joined the Mezic research group in Spring 2017. She works on developing reduced order models for chaotic systems and her current work focuses on turbulence. 

Her interests lie at the intersection of ergodic theory, spectral analysis and the structure of systems with a continuous spectrum.
